EX8: Deformer Animation

For this task we were required to create an animation using Autodesk Maya, like the 3D bouncing ball task, but this time using deformers to recreate principles of animation.

I generated a cube primitive and changed its height and added more subdivisions to it, and added non-linear ‘bend’ and ‘squash’ deformers to it for exaggeration and squash n’ stretch effects, and then applied keyframes to each value change so that it has a smooth transition between frames.

To move the model for the bounce, I had to make it a parent for the deformers so that they would carry over.

When I was satisfied with the result, I playblasted it:
